Overview

BYOK AI Bring Your Own Key Chat ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that lets you chat with AI models through your own OpenRouter account. This page explains how data is handled.

What stays on your device

The extension stores the following locally in your browser:

• Your OpenRouter API key
• Chat history and thread settings
• Model preferences, starred models, and persona presets
• Extension settings

This data stays in Chrome storage on your device. I do not receive or store it on my servers.

What is sent to third parties

When you send a message, the extension calls OpenRouter using your API key. OpenRouter receives your prompts, optional page content you choose to include, and model settings needed for the request.

OpenRouter handles that data under their own terms and privacy policy. Usage is billed to your OpenRouter account.

What I do not collect

• I do not run a backend that stores your chats or API key
• I do not sell personal data
• I do not use the extension to track you across sites

This website

Pages on ivankmk.tech may use standard analytics (for example Google Analytics) and server logs like any normal website. That applies to visiting this landing page, not to data stored inside the extension itself.
